Post-Jam Update!
Mollusk to the Moon » Devlog
Version 1.1 is done!
After releasing my submission for the jam and reading all of the feedback, I just had to make a post-jam version to fix the major issues and include a few additional features that I really wanted in the game but couldn't squeeze in the jam period. This took a bit longer than I expected, but I really wanted to get it right.
Changes:
- Fixed frozen rendering on launch / opening home menu
- Overhauled collision detection
- it's MUCH better
- i haven't gotten stuck in a wall...yet
- Updated game refresh rate from 30 to 50hz
- Reworked blast physics - updated to feel more springy and less rigid
- Fixed a bug that made corners super OP and applied blast impulses twice
- Applied 90 degree offset to crank angle for aiming to better match physical position of the crank
- Added sound effects and dynamic background music
- Added title screen
- Added about and controls menu
- Added bgm/sfx options in controls menu
- Added expert mode - unlocked after completing the game normally
- Added an in-game timer, best time for each mode is saved and displayed on title screen
- Added autosaving
- Added home menu options
- Updated launcher icon and card
