Post-Jam Update!


Version 1.1 is done!

After releasing my submission for the jam and reading all of the feedback, I just had to make a post-jam version to fix the major issues and include a few additional features that I really wanted in the game but couldn't squeeze in the jam period. This took a bit longer than I expected, but I really wanted to get it right.

Changes:

  • Fixed frozen rendering on launch / opening home menu
  • Overhauled collision detection
    • it's MUCH better
    • i haven't gotten stuck in a wall...yet
  • Updated game refresh rate from 30 to 50hz
  • Reworked blast physics - updated to feel more springy and less rigid 
    • Fixed a bug that made corners super OP and applied blast impulses twice
  • Applied 90 degree offset to crank angle for aiming to better match physical position of the crank
  • Added sound effects and dynamic background music
  • Added title screen
    • Added about and controls menu
    • Added bgm/sfx options in controls menu
  • Added expert mode - unlocked after completing the game normally
  • Added an in-game timer, best time for each mode is saved and displayed on title screen
  • Added autosaving
  • Added home menu options
  • Updated launcher icon and card
